he had none but his gun I told him that was none but a
robers authority & he could not take him He swore he would
take him & me too. I dared him to interfear with the horse or
me either he immedeatly Made at Me presenting his gun &
coming up to the side of near the Bugga I was in, pointing
his gun right at me I Jumped out of the Buga turned the
Mussle off & took hold of the gun & him too. A scuffle insued
& while in that possition he drew his pistol I caught
it too Caleb bing in the Buga & I called on him to ketch
hold of him & we took both pistol & gun from him he was bad
used up by Anderson & others of the boys that he had a few
Minnets before been robing I took him in my buga to the
pickets Anderson & Monk went with me & I delivered him over
to the pickets who sent him on & put him in Jail I got my
hand badly cut by Anderson not intentionally in the fight My
wound blead to town & back

reported he is going South through Georgia
