137 Columbia Wash Aug 3d 1/96 The Town Council of the Town of Columbia Wash met persuant to adjournment: Present V R Peirson mayor J A Kelso clerk, C P Hutchinson Marshal D C Brown, C N Groat, A A Hepler, L Almquist and F J Brown Mayor Peirson presiding Minutes of the last meeting read and approved: Communication from County Treasurer Showing $29.42 Collected for Taxes in Month of July, read and ordered placed on file; City Attorney heard in regard to Mayor's rights to vote on Ordinance No 65 passed at last meeting, giving as his opinion that he had no legal right to vote. Therefore said Ordinance was taken up again and on motion Ordinance was passed by a majority vote of the Council and Clerk ordered to report said ordinance. H H G Hasting was heard in regard to Council taking some steps toward cooperation with County Commissioners to open County road along Rainier Beach Rwy and continue the proposed road on Rainier Ave through the limits of the Town. On motion Council voted to favor the same. Report of O A Schade town treasurer read and referred to Finance Committee.
