To the Honorable

THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE:

We, the undersigned petitioners, residents of the City of Seattle, most respectfully petition your Honorable Body to establish street lights on Lincoln Street at the intersection of Gould Street and Johnson Avenue; on Aldine Street at the intersection of Johnson Avenue, Gould and Chicago Streets]]; on Drexel Avenue at the intersection of Gould and Chicago Streets, and on Carroll Street at the intersections of Johnson Avenue, Division Street and Highland Avenue; in all ten lamps; respectfully representing that the same are all on graded streets which are comparatively thickly settled, except the one at the intersection of Carroll Street and Highland Avenue, Carroll Street being on the line of the Madrone Park Street Cars, and that large numbers of passengers leave the cars at the points designated on said street after nightfall, the darkness engendering great discomfort and danger.

Seattle, December 4th, 1894.
