I am advised that John Withierson the solicitor for the 3rd district, departed this life a few days since. The protem - appointment devolves on you Mr Spencer Jarnagin of this place will accept this appointment. Judge Anderson, Mr E. A. Foster and many others of your City are acquainted with Mr J - & standing as a lawyer should legal attainments be the test, but few gentlemen in our state could claim pre-eminence over Mr J - for your favor in the present case.
