John Sevier governor in and over the said state.

To Thomas McCorry Esquire and Thomas Crutcher Esquires Public treasures, or either of them. -

Pay Samuel Love Esquire One hundred and forty three Dollars fifty four Cents in part compen= =sation for his xervices as a clerk in copying the records of North Carolina, as provided for by the Act passed on the eighth day of November One thousand eight hundred and three, entitled, "An Act concerning the Agent from this state to the state of North Carolina," And this shall be your Warrant ~

In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great neck Seal of the State to be affixed at Knoxville the 26th Day of April 1804. -

It is reported that Hugh Dunlap esquire of Henry County entends to resign his commission as attorney for the State. If so, Col Barry Gillespe offers his services to fill the Place.

Will you Please consider him as a candidate, As you are well acquainted with Col Gillespe nothing need be said by me your attention to his offers will oblige
