I once more beg leave to Address you on A subject that is Nearer and Dearer to Me than My Life that is the Case of My Brother Daniel Allen - The Supreme Court gave him twelve Months longer the object of the Court was to give him longer time for him to get A pardon the time is Drawing Nigh that he will have to be Branded like A [Fellon?] and imprissond for [sixx?] Months for Doing that sin that you or Any other person would have done in A [?] like; Circumstance and when he has done No More than you would have done Why not Exstend the hand of Mercy to him to have A Brother Cut off [from duty?] to have it have it thrown up to our Children when We are No more to be Mortified all the Ballance of our lives When it is in your power to have Mercy when Justice says it should be done When the thinking part of the Community says it ought to be done Why not Reach out your hand of Mercy - Oh - Govener I have heard of your Misfourtune and am sorry sorry that A man who has Made himself and who has filld so many Honourable Appointments and [deed?] as [farr?] as you did to [?] the [? ?] should Meet with Any thinker like a Chicke to his popertunity: and to his usefull [nest?] When in Company the other Day with at A Court in Greene County with some of your Enimies and have them Rejoicing at your down fall I Could Not help saying that no Man but A sort of David Rosculs would Rejoice at
