the down fall of Any Gentleman and that I hopd to god you would be [Restord?] to have [Revenge?] of these scoundrals that would stoop to such degree I gave an insult to A Certain Gentleman his Name you will hear - who has Cald on me for satisfation and who shall be A [?] to the Lord [?] you was in A Circumstance to be with me - but sir Returning to the subject of My Brother if I Could only save him from Disgrace altho you have [?] you can [render?] him A pardon and let it Be on the Right Date this you can do in A letter to Me and in doing so you will do Right in the sight of god and Man you Must Not think hard of [?] you in the way I do My Brother is more to me we are in partnership in trade and we are engaged in digging for Gold and have been [? ? ?] and if it was Mony he had to pay he would Not Regard the sum but [show?] it is his [Conviction?] do [?] for gods sake [Relieve?] him by in [?] A pardon for him to Me - - I hope you will be Able to visit the Mountains this summer and if you should Come and spend your time with Me I have got a [sheep?] that perhaps will help you [?[ to Right to me on [seeing?] this and believe me to be yours with due Respect James Allen
