I am instructed by the Directors of the old State Bank of Tennessee to request you to appoint Col Solomon D. Jacobs of this place, a Director of said Bank, in behalf of the State David Campbell the former Director for the state being elected by the stockholders. By so doing, & directing the letter enclosing the same to Hugh A. M. White the President elect, or Luke Sea, Cashier
