as there is a Contest dispute between, M.r McClain & M.r Nash for the Majors Commission, and sundry papers have been exhibited to me, respecting the Illegallity of the same ^Election In order that a fair investigation may take place, I am induced to suspend, the Issueing of the Commission to either of them, and shall lay the papers before the next General assembly, in order that Justice may be done. You will therefore please to give each of them noice of this My determination In order that they may be prepared for the event, & you will Greatly oblidge,
