The Commissioners appointed to hold the treaty is expected here in a few days - George Walton of Georgia, and Col^o John Steele ^Esq.^rs of Virginia are appointed in the place of Aimes and Washington - An appointment that I hope will prove satisfactory to the State people of Tennessee

I feel myself much embarrassed on account of appointing some agents to attend the treaty, not so much with respect to the agents, as that of the Supplies - we have no money in the treasury here, and if we had, I am not certain that the treasurer would consider himself authorized to make any advances, ^on my warrant however there it is no doubt with me, ^on that head for I think [? ? ?] for it is conceeded by All that has thought every one that will think on the subject, that the executive have an undoubted right to make appoint the agents; that thus being the case, it necessarily implies, that Supplies of course must ought to be furnished
