I have heard your talk as a Governor- through Lieutenant Davidson.

I return you thanks for your advice to my nation that is to live in peace - I do assure you that it is and has been my determination to live in peace with the whole people ever since the talk held with Governor Blount.

Your letter and talk shall be made known to my nation. My nation have given proofs of their disposition to be at peace. I wish you to give the same advice you give my people- to your own people. As some of them have not appeared disposed to keep the peace - And not only give
