In pursuance of the orders of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States I have written this day to the Secretary of this State requesting infor =mation upon several points respecting the revenue system of the State.

The information required falling within the [?] limits of the executive Department of Government , I take the liberty of requesting your attention, to the business, should you find leasure, and any information tending to illustrate the objects of inquiry will be thankfully red^d.
