sir Last Sunday evening some Villains stole from M^r John Kains custody three of the Chickasaw Horses, and from circumstances Ihave reason to suspect three men by the names of Andrew Scott John Scott, and one Donalson; accordingly Ihave applied for a warrant from M^r Greer who readily granted it, but that the pursuit may be more advantageously pursued: I have desired M^r Owens and Kain who have undertaken the business to apply to your excellency that they may bec clothed with sufficient Power from
