Sir
Yours of the 4th Instant have duly come to hand, and I thank you for the interest you have taken, with regard to the notification of the Indian Cheifs, and also recommending suitable persons to furnish such supplies as may be wanting for the use of the Treaty - I have written to General Robertson stating the circumstance, and informed him of the offer of Messieurs Lyon & Clark, and that I was perfectly agreed provided he had no objection, and also stated to the General that I thought those Gentlemen were better prepared to furnish the supplies than almost any new hand whatever - I hope to be with you either the first or second day of the Treaty -
I have the honor to be with great respect Your Hbl servt
(Signed)
