I certify that Samuel McBride Sheriff of Rutherford County before me John Anderson a Justice of peace for Davidson County has proved that he attended one day at Nash= =ville in comparing the votes for an election of President & Vice president of the united states, and that he has travell =ed forty four miles in going to and returning from the place appointed for comparing the votes aforesaid. for which he is entitled to receive the sum of four Dollars eighty three cents agreeable to an act of the general Assembly passed November the third 1803 - Given under my hand at Nashville November 5^th 1804
