Murfreesboro, Jany 6, 1819-

To his Excellency, Gov. McMinn,

On the night of the 26th of December last past, a man who was Confined in the jail of Rutherford county on a charge of Grand larceny named Thomas Thurman, broke said jail and is now a fugitive from justice. He is about 22 years of age, fair complexion, Grey eyes, and about 5 feet 11 inches high. He was raised in Blount County in this state, and has been a soldier in the regular service during the late war.

I feel it my duty to make this report to your Excellency that a proclamation may issue according
