Archibald Roane Governor in and over the State of Tennessee

To all who shall see These presents Greeting Whereas Russell Bean at the last September term of the Superior Court of Law for the District of Washington was Convicted of Felony and Sentenced to be branded and Imprisoned for . Eleven Calender [sic] Months which Sentence has in part been exemted [sic] and he is now imprisoned in Consequence thereof

Now know you that for divers [sic] [gard?] causes and considerations setforth by Petition I do hereby pardon the said Russell Bean for the Crime for which he has neen convicted as aforesaid, and remit the [residne?] of the punishment to which he is [hable?] by Virtue of the said Sentence

Given under my hand and Seal at Jonesborough in the State aforesaid this 15th day of March 1803
