March the 4th 1803 Sulivan [sic] &c

Sir I beg lieve [sic] to inform you that Mr Williams is dead some time. before his death he removed from Blountsville [sic] to Elexander Laughlin in the uper [sic] end of this County, he has not transcribed the entry Books agreeable to your appointment last sumer [sic] & he had a very severe spell of the fever, which he did not recover so as to be fit for business to his death, he purchased a Completed bound Book & mad [sic] a rough draft to make him self more acquainted with the office but had not begun as I have been informed to make out the Coppy [sic] in the Book he purcesed [sic] for that purpose

the entry Books & locations have been put into the posession of Mr Laghlin
