every public place but Bairdstown : - that this deponent, having found his horse at Nashville in the possession of J. Dyer, who had got him from a man to whom the Sheriff, by direc-tion of the said Wiley had sold him, proved the horse to be his property, before Thomas Talbot, Esquire at Nashville, and in consqeuence thereof received 100 dollars for him from the said Dyer, and that from all them circumstances, this deponent is fully persuaded and does verily believe, that the said Robert Wiley, did floni-ously [sic] steal, take and carry away his said horse as afore -said.

to wit. Before me, one of the Justices of the Peace in and for the said county, personally apprehended David Early, and being duly sworn declared on his oath that the preceeding depo-sition, was true, and subscribed the same in my presence. Given under my hand on the 27th day of June 1803.
