Dear Sir, It is our request that you would Grant a pasport [sic] to Capt Saml. Gorden a Citizen of Williamson County, to Visit the Creek Nation, of Indians, for the prupose of bringing out Stolen property belonging to himself and other Citizens of this - District, Capt. Gordon has made a trip to the Nation, and has made great performance to our Satisfaction, and Col. Hawkins is Desirous that he Should pay him a nother Visit on that Acct. -

Sir We wish you to forward the pasport [sic] to Conl Thos - McCroray by the way of the Mail -
