To his Excellency Joseph McMinn - Governor in and over the state of Tennessee

Wee [sic] the memorial of the undersigned beg leave to represent that a certain James Currier has been lately convicted of Petty Larceny in the County Court of Blount County and judgment rendered against him from which he appealed to ^the Circuit Court of Sd County where he has been again convicted and Judgment rendered against him but the undersigned understanding that a petition is a [but?] to be presented to your Excellency for a [?] representing sd Currier as an honest Man on that the brine of which he is convicted is the first or only one we think it our duty to state to your Excellency from the Conclusivee manner in which the fact has been stated that there so many [glorin?] [?] Circumstances of as not to admit of any doubt of his being on [do?] offender [anumber?] of the undersigned man and frequently quietly of such ^petty offences but iwth all Indifference to your Excellency We are of the oppinnion [sic] that he should not be pardoned
