I have the honor to recommend to you David Reid Esq of this City as a gentleman possessing the requisite qualifications of capacity & character for the appointment of Commissioner of the State of Tennessee, to take depositions, proof of deeds &c &c &c in this state. M^r Reid is a gentleman of business habits, prompt & punctual, and his appointment will give general satisfcation in this Community.
