NB. It is [?] to the application since the above to state Mr Archibald W. Overton's claim to the office of Circuit judge I had promised before my signature in favour of Mr Isaacks, to state Mr Overtons [?] to your excellency: But an opportunity of doing so has never so completely offered until this time.
