Whereas we the undersigned are creditably informed that ^there is a vacancy in the appointment of solicitor general of the 18^th district of this state, Beg leave to recommend to your con sideration, John C Collier Esquire as a young Gentleman of the law as a worthy man possessing integrity industry and ability - And we do not hesitate to say that should he secure that app ointment, that he will discharge the duties faithfully to his ? & with credit to himself-
