State of Tennessee Marion County This day personally apeared [sic] Richard [Blevons?] before me Johnathan Newman one of the acting Justices of the peace for said County and made oath that some time before Magar [sic] Farris & Samuel Lemings Had their trial he hapened [sic] in Company with them in the town of Jasper & that they had Conversation betwixt them in his presents [sic] Concerning Lemonses indicting him for being in Company with [illegible] & Elkins at the time they took the waggon [sic] from Lemons & that he did not think that he wished to take ^the wagon from him & that he rather thought Farris was his friend & that he would not indicted him only he was told that he must indict all that was their [sic] if it ^had a been one hundred & that this was the Reason why he done so & that [illegible] need not blame him for it
Sworn to and subscribed before me this 13th day of October 1821-
