December 17th 1820 upon the evidence of Daniel Monaghon Joseph Foster Andrew Bailey We do believe the said [Lesin?] to be guilty of the written charges

and at August Sessions of the court of pleas and quarter sessions aforesaid the following rule of [illegible] was found by the jury viz -

State of Tennessee Franklin county Court of pleas & quarter sessions February Term [1821?] illegible] impanneled sworn and charged The Grand jurors for the State aforesaid [illegible] Sworn and charged to inquire for the [body?] of Franklin county aforesaid upon their oaths do present and say that a certain Richard Tyson late of the county aforesaid [labourer?] on the sixteenth day of December in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty at Court in the county aforesaid with force [Larry?] in [illegible] on the body of one Hugh [Hopewell] Adams in the peace of the State thru and there being did make an assault on him the said Hugh [Hopewell?] Adams did then and there Violently beat [illegible] [illegible] & stab and illy treat and other wrongs and enomities to the said Hugh [Hopewell?] Adams then and there the said Richard Tyson did to the great damage of him the said Hugh [Hopewell?]
