Adams to the evil example of all persons in like Cases of offending & against the peace and dignity of the State

And on the back of which [illegible] of endict ment there appeared the following endors ments viz Hugh H Adams Prosecutor David Monagan Joseph Foster Andrew Bailey H. H. Adams sworn & [illegible] grand jury 1st March 1821. -
A Free Bill William J Trigg fourman [sic] of the Grand jury. -
There this cause was coutinued from day to day untill [sic] February Term 1821 and on the 4th day of said Term the said [Coun?] came on to be tried viz -
State Richard Tyson Indictment Assault & Battery This day came the Solicitor who prosecutes for the State in His behalf or well as the Defendant in his proper person and the said Defendant and having heard the said indictment read Says he is there of guilty and puts himself upon the grace and mercy of the court It is therefore considered by the court that the Defendant for such his offence he be fined fifty dollars and be imprisoned sixty days and pay the costs
