exceedingly necessary at present, both by the failure of the Judge heretofore in dispatching the business, and the recent accumulation of criminal cases here. We would respectfully request you to apprise the Gentleman appointed of this, and induce his attendance. A copy of the order appointing the term, is enclosed, which you will please forward in your communication to him.

We are convinced that other gentlemen of the law, who are now absent, would if present join us in this request. And that the citizens of this county generally desire that the special term above alluded to, should be holden.
