To Lælio-Cattleya × 'Issy' var. cuprea (L. tenebrosa × C. Leopoldii) (votes, 6 for, 2 against), from Messrs. Charlesworth. Habit of L.-C. × elegans. Sepals and petals reddish-copper colour; base of lip white, front rich reddish-purple.
To Miltonia × Binotii 'Gabriel's variety' (nat. hyb. candida × Regnellii) (votes, 7 for, 0 against), from C. B. Gabriel, Esq., Easdale, Horsell, Surrey (gr. Mr. Hillier). Sepals and petals cream-yellow, barred with brown; lip violet-purple.

To Cypripedium Godefroyæ leucochilum 'Goodson's variety' (votes, unanimous), from H. S. Goodson, Esq., Fairlawn, Putney (gr. Mr. G. Day). Flowers large, pale yellow, with a broad claret-coloured reticulation on the sepals and petals. (Fig. 55.)
