Had I not implicit faith in an all-wise loving Father, who listens with a loving heart to the appeals of His children, and to whom I have gone with the humility of a child asking His protecting care, pleading that He will guide and govern the hearts of one and all connected with the University, and so rule that even the Ross incident may be for the ultimate good of the students. I have only one object at heart and it is that the University shall send forth grand men and women who will make themselves felt wherever they may go for the high moral tone of their character, and their love and obedience to the good Father's will.
