Office of City Comptroller Seattle Wash Oct 31 1892 To the Honorable City Council of the City of Seattle Wash Gentlemen I hand you herewith a claim for the return of tax alleged to have been paid in error on lot 6 Block 68 Central Seattle Addition presented by Mrs E Hussey. The Auditing committee recommend that said claim be not paid upon the ground that Mrs Hussey by paying the tax and making no complaint at the time placed it being the power of the City to collect The amount from the proper parties.
