After due consideration said ordinance is adopted upon the following vote to wit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Harrington, Northrup, Rinehart, Snyder, Sox & Yesler. Against adoption none. The attorney submits as Ordinance entitled "To amend Section "1 of Ordinance No 290" After due consideration said ordinance is adopted upon the following voteto wit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Harrington, Latimer, Northrup, Rinehart, Snyder, Sox & Yesler. Against adoption none. Miscellaneous A communication is rec'd from the Board of fire Delegates announcing that Danl McKen had been elected Chief of the Fire Department, thereupon said appointment is approved Ordered that a Comtee to wit: Councilmen Latimer, Yesler, Snyder, Harrington, His Honor the Mayor by & is hereby appointed to examine into the troubles in the Fire Department. Ordered that the matter of a salary for the chief of the Fire Department is hereby referred to the fire Comtee. Any now by reason of S B Vrooman ceasing to be a Justice of the Peace in Jan 5, 1885, the Council proceeds to an election to fill the vacancy thereto exist in the offices of City Justice. Whereupon G A Hill a Justice of the Peace for King Cunty duly elected at the last General Election for County Offices
