Chris Ward 10 am Friday, January 31st [1986] Radiation, followed by a prescription for Lomotil following first signs of diarrhea. Drove fast out east for income tax conference with Chris Ward at 10 oclock. Made it on time, only to find he’d been called away on an emergency of some kind. On way back stopped by Book Shelf in search of South Wharton collection; no luck. In afternoon taped a 30-min. cassette for Louis Rubin: Mozart’s string trio, K. S63, plus Budapest Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. Buffet supper at Richard + Carroll Lealler. Large gathering, lots of people I haven’t seen in years. Refilled prescriptions for diazapan, dipyizidamole, + sinsquen. Today I’m one-third through the six-week radiation treatment.
