Feb. 10, 1917.
Zero Weather. Sunday –
Gee, I am going to
pump the organ every
sunday now & I bet I
will have some fun
just waite till I get my
putty shooter.

Feb. 12, 1917.
Gosh it worked great
I changed salt for sugar
& pa tasted of the tea
& he said, Suffering cats
whats the matter
with this tea. I [parety?]
near split laughing
Ma told me to dump
the salt out & wash
the sugar bowl & fill
it with sugar. it wasn’t
so funny then.

It was below zero all
day. In the morning
it was 8 below at noon
1 below & tonight it
is 8 below

Feb. 13, 1917
Warmer – Nothing
particular today.
I dont feel very well
tonight I have got
a bellyache.

Feb. 14, 1917
Warmer – Its a good
thing because the
cupid of love might
freeze in his
customary attire. Today
is valentines because day.
I was awful sick last
night & I dident go
to school today.

Gee, President Wilson
dont know much about
[handling?] foreign
