MARCH 1944

5 Sun-2nd in Lent
Nice day, but cold. Went to Sunday
School in morning & in afternoon.
Went to Chapel in evening. P/O Colin
Mackenzie was preacher. Taffy & Aurther Clark
a Medical orderly were there. They came home
with us a came in to Supper.

6 Mon
Had a singing practise first lesson.
Had a nasty science lesson and a nasty
homework. Got my french homework
finished in free lessons. Mrs Markwell
came to tea. Mr Markwell came to
fetch her home. S tarted writing letter to George

7 Tues
Had needlework instead of cookery.
Lovely sunny day. Dr Conway came in
morning and rehearsed our singing for [fest]
Got half my maths homework done in
free lesson. Had quite a nice geography
lesson.

8 Wed
Had a revision science lesson.
Had a comprehension test for french homework
Had three history lessons all revisory.
Miss Refew was horrible at dinner time.
Did homework in evening.
