1945 31 Days JULY

12 Th Marge's birthday.
Lovely day. Had biology exam in
morning, not too bad. Had a history
exam in afternoon. I could not do
it at all. Felt very happy in evening.
Judy came. Wrote a long letter to
Gordon.

13 Fri Very hot day. Read a book
in morning as others had exams.
Betty & I got permission from Miss
Tilly to play tennis all the afternoon.
Had a lovely time. I won 7.2. Washed
my hair in evening. Betty came in.

* 14 Sat Very very hot day.
Went to Sutton in morning &
did errands. Gordon came in
morning to stay with us. Cleaned
his bedroom. We all went to a picnic
in the afternoon in the car to
Holywell. Sat by the river in
evening. Gordon went in for a swim.
Memo
Had a lovely time. Terrible
thunderstorm in evening lasted 4 hours.
