1945 31 Days August

2 Th Lovely day Went in to
town in morning and had Lunch
there. In afternoon we were all shown
round Bibby's factory very interesting
In evening went to Calderstone's
park and had a walk round

3 Fri Lovely day.
Went to town in morning & had
my poly photo taken. Gordon had his done
too. Had lunch at Lewis's and then
went to New Brighton where I swam
for the first time in the baths there
In evening we all went to an
orchestral concert at the Philharmonic.
It was lovely

4 Sat - Queen Elizabeth born, 1900
Glorious day. We all set off
early for New Brighton. Had dinner
at a cafe then Gordon took me
for a row. Afterwards we all went
swimming in the baths except
Nancy. Had a very good time

Memo Sat on the beach after
tea. Gordon gave me £1 for my birthday
& so did Mummy & Daddy.
Wed. I went with Gordon to the fair
here & had some fun. Also went
on pier Came back by boat and
went to see Nancy's parents
