AUGUST 8th Month 1945

5 Sun -10th after Trinity
Poured in the morning
Went to a
church service at the hospital where
[daddy] plays in morning. Wrote to Ian
in afternoon & went to a Methodist
church in evening. Afterwards went
to Raney's [] supper.

6 Mon - Transfiguration Bank Holiday
Quite a nice day.
Set off for home early in the
morning after breakfast and did
not get home until 7.40pm. Travelled
the Derbyshire & over the Cat &
Fiddle - seames very lovely. Met
Judy E. Sick & tired []

7 Tues
Miserable day with showers.
Helped Mummy in the
morning and went to Sutton
to get groceries. Saw Uncle Dave on leave
from India. Got changed in afternoon
and picked some plums for []
lot. []

8 Wed - New oon 12.32a.m.
Lovely day, Helped Mummy in the
morning & went to Sutton for meat.
Picked plums in afternoon with Mar
Went to Bible Class in evening. Gordon
took it. Judy, Bert, Sam, Mr Cottan
