1945 31 Days AUGUST

*9 Th Cold wet miserable day
Mrs Dyer & Marion went home,
Helped Mummy in the morning & picked
plums in the afternoon with Gordon
Poured in evening, wrote to Sid &
Nancy and had a bath.

10 Fri Cloudy day.
Helped Mummy all the morning
and afternoon cleaned Janet's bedroom,
lounge & dining room. Also helped with
the serving of plums. Bert and a dark
boy from Jamacia called Bill came
over & picked plums in evening

11 Sat Dull in morning but lovely
later on. Weighed up plums
in mornings and went to Sutton and
did errands. Washed up and cleaned
the bathroom in afternoon mowed
the lawn in evening. Auntie Ann
& Uncle Charlie came over and
brought Janet back. Janet
slept on sofa and Gordon on
