1945 31 Days DECEMBER
20 Th Cold day. Had lessons before
break as usual. After break had to
clean and sweep cloakrooms + pack
book. Had a carol service in afternoon
and then broke up for holidays. Went
to a concert at Witcham in evening
which was very good indeed.

21 Fri -- Ember Day St. Thomas
Cold rather foggy day. I did
the washing and Janet pegged
the clothes out. Put the christma
decorations up in afternoon. Went
with Judy to put flowers in church
in evening and made two brooches.

22 Sat -- Ember Day
Winter Solstice Shortest Day
Cold misty day.
Had 2 letters from Gordon. Helped Mummy all the
morning. Did [?]. Had a practise
in aftrnoon. Judy, Bunty and
Desmond went on Xmas leave.
Washed my hair + started making
calenders in evening.
Leslie White came in.

WED; in afternoon. Has a practise & went
to Sutton. Went to B class in evening.
Ted S[?] took it. Bunty Desmond, Judy
