middle and latter part light winds and calm
at 2 PM saw 2 whales put of atruck and
killed them both sunk one and took the other
along side for the night move ship twice to
hook on but could not saw 2 sail to the
southward of us Lat by obs 38-22 long 43-40

Friday Nov 29th
First part fresh breeses from NN East at
10 PM [???] to a hand gale at 11 parted
the [haucen?] and lost our [bug?] [stunt?] 15 [Blls?] gone
middle part strong gales and cloudy at 8 AM the
weather thick and rains at 9 the mind hauls to
the westward and moderates ends clean and
pleasant the wind at S West set all sail and
steer to the eastward saw nothing
Lat by obs 39-10 long-43-[???]

Saturday Nov 30th 1822
First part light winds and smoky weather
from the westward steer off east saw nothing
mid part fresh winds at SW latter part
latter part strong gales at WSW at 12 tack
to SS Wset 2 reefed top sails and courses
Lat by obs 38-32 long-42-50

Sunday December 1st 1822
All these 24 hours strong winds from WSW
to WS West at 10 AM set double refed top sails
head south at 1 PM saw one whale and plenty
of feed tok in sail still heading to the south
Lat by obs 39-13 long 42-50
