First part rugged weather.
Saw some whales [un?] bent the jib and mended it.
Latter part the weather
moderates so ends the day.

Sunday December 4th 1825

These 24 hours moderate weather
and pleanty of whales. Killed
one and it sunk struck
another and he took the
line. Saw penty [plenty] of whale feed.

Monday December 5th 1825

These 24 hours light winds and
calm and pleasant weather.
A plenty of whales chased all
day. No success. So ends.

Tuesday December the 6th 1825

These 24 hours light winds
and pleasant weather. Saw
several whales chased but
could not strike spoke
the Union 60 bls of spermacity oil.
