Began with moderate weather that lasted
through the day at 6 in the morning
set all sail & Steered to the N ward [northward] but
saw nothing at 8 wore Ship & Steered to the
Sth E ward the Wabash in company at
6 PM Spoke to French Ship with 8
whales another Ship to the leeward [suppose ?]
to the Thorn at sun set filled away &
Steered to the W ward the Wabash In
company. So goes all well Lat [Latitude] Obsd 37:20

Saturday the 21 fst []

Through this day strong winds from the
N W Ship under all Sail Steering W S W
by the wind Wabash in company
Saw several finbacks & large fields
of whale feed. Saw a Ship to Sth
leeward standing to the W ward
latter part thick fog at sunset
weather increasing Single reefed
our top sails. So remains no Obs
Lat 38:10 Long 2:50

Sunday the 22nd

Began with a gale from the N W
Ship under single reefed Top Sails
steering W S W by the wind at 2
Passed the meridean [meridian] the wind shifted
suddenly to the Sth W wore Ship & Steered
to the N W ward latter part light airs
weather clear and pleasant saw one
Ship to the wind ward a boiling so
goes all well Lat [latitude] Obsd [observed] 39:20
