Monday Janaury 14th Commenced with stiff Trades and pleasant weather steer by the wind heading about SSW Latter part had about the same weather the wind ESE square[D] yards about one point nothing in sight but water and fish the watch to work on the main Rigging So goes Lat [LATITUDE] by Obs [OBSERVATION] 7..50 Long [LONGITUDE] 27..00

Tuesday 15th Commenced with pleasant weather and light Trades ship under all sail steering SSW per Compass at 5 PM raised a sail ahead Latter part had strong wind and rather squally one Ship in sight on the Larboard quawter [QUARTER] steering by the wind to the South Lat [LATITUDE] 10..04 Long [LONGITUDE] 27..41

Wednesday 16th Began with strong trades and fair weather Ship under all Sail Steering SSW per Compass Middle and Latter parts had light wind weather the same nothing in sight but water watch employed knitting yarns and at Sundry other Jobs So gows [GOES] Lat [LATITUDE] 12..19 Long [LONGITUDE] by Chr [CHRONOMETER] 28 22
