accompanied with snow and rain. good breeze
from the SE. crewsing. saw several finbacks.
Latter part took in sail. set quater watches.
lay by the wind. squally with rain and snow.

Sunday Apr 17th
This day first part wind from the Southward. squals
of snow and rain. made sail to doublereefed topsails.
crewsing. Mid part wind and weather much the
same. Latter part shortened sail. set quater watches.
lay by the wind heading NW. wind WSW.
Monday Apr 18th
First part light breeze from the WSW. plesant
weather. made sail steering by the wind. Mid
part wind S steering WNW. employed breaking
out for molasses and vinager. found a leak but
could not get to it it being against one of the
timbers. Latter part shortened sail to double
reefed topsails and foresail. set quater watches.
steering WNW. good breeze from ESE. so ends.
Tuesday Apr 19th
First part strong breeze from the ESE. steering WNW.
at 4 AM increasing to a gale. called all hands.
took in sail too clostreefed main topsail and
main spencer. luffed ship. by the wind heading
S. Mid part wore ship to Northward heading NNE.
blowing a gale accompanied with snow and rain.
Latter part wind and weather much the same.
