First part light breeses from SW to North
Saw whales struck one & cut from [ ]
2 harponing at 6 PM struck one & killed her
at 7 took her along side & took in []
Middle part fresh breeses from Nott Latter
part strong gales parted [ ] &
lost the whale at 9 AM [] ship & headed
NSE saw nothing Employed in ships duties

the fore topsail at C 9 and saw one whale Middle
