Call meeting - of the Board Aug 11- 1933

In response to a call meeting the executive board met at the home of Mrs. G.M. Ponton Aug 11th. Mrs. Ponton, first V. Pres. presiding

Mrs. Ben Bostain's resignation as Pres. was read by Mrs. Gramling

Mrs. Ponton's resignation, as first V. Pres. was read by Mrs. Gramling.

Miss Gregg's resignation of chairmanship of Educational Com. was read.

These resignations were accepted with deep regret.

After general discussion, and adjournment, Mrs. Ponton served refreshments.

Special Call Meeting Sept. 19, 1933.

A special call meeting of the woman's club was held at the club house on Tues. Sept. 19, 1933

The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Leland Lewis Pres. protem

The purpose of the meeting was to elect a Pres. for the coming year since Mrs. Bostain had resigned.

After considerable discussion several names were presented but none were voted on.

Mrs. Lewis then asked for nominations for first V. Pres. Mrs. Ponton having resigned. Mrs. Ponton nominated Mrs. Tom Moore, Mrs. Rivers seconded. Mrs. Moore was elected and asked to call the club into meeting the second Thursday of October.

Mrs. Rivers reported an amount of $215.74 now in the bank.

There being no further business, upon motion duly made and seconded the meeting was adjourned.

Executive Board meeting Oct 4, 1933.

Due to the fact that Mrs. Bostain has resigned as Pres, the first V. Pres., Mrs. Tom Moore called a meeting of the executive board Oct 4th to transact important business

The question of float or car for N.R.A. parade was first subject taken up. Mrs. Rivers moved, Mrs. Lewis seconded that we take some part in the parade to be held Sat. morning Oct. 7th. Carried. Mrs. Moore asked to see about prices and make arrangements for 2 permanent banners for car.

Mrs. Gramling moved, Mrs. Rivers seconded that the executive board be hostess for the opening meeting of the club- carried- Mrs. Rivers appointed to take charge of buying refreshments.

Mrs. Gramling moved, mrs. Lewis seconded that Mrs. Moore engage man for janitor service the week of Oct the 9th for $5.00, during which week there will be several functionscarried-

Mrs. Rivers moved, Mrs. Gramling seconded that the club take care of any expenses, such as laundry, etc incurred at the recent Kiwanis' luncheoncarried.

Discussion of plans to use mimeograph blanks to be signed by all members for names, addresses, etc took place and Mrs. Moore was asked to have some made

Regular Meeting Woman Club Oct 1933.

The regular meeting was held Oct. 12, 1933 with Vice Pres Mrs Tom Moore presiding.

Minutes of the May meeting were read and approved.

The Treasurer reported a balance of $230.70

Mrs. Moore announced that a float had been prepared for the N.R.A. parade and $8.00 expended for the printing of some permanent signs for the float. It was moved that all expenses be paid. Motion carried

The club voted to employ a Janitor for the winter months; to have new membership cards printed, also cards for members to indicate which department of club they wished to join. Announcement was made that the club House had been offered to the Kiwainis Convention free of charge.

Mrs. Kellum moved that the club give a reception for the teachers in the city school and college faculty - Carried -

After some discussion of the milk fund, to which the club contributed as a member of the Leon Co. Civic Council, it was voted to continue our subscription to the fund for another year.

Mrs. Kellum explained the national mobilization plan of which Mrs. Roosevelt is leader, and the club voted to sponsor and affiliate with this movment.
