gave my mother a few mementoes, including the recipe
book. Miss Wakeford died 2 or 3 years later.
My mother gave me the book around 1960, and in
1969 I asked Jean's father, as a little retirement hobby,
to write around & try to arouse some interest in it.
2 or 3 people were interested in outright purchase.
The untimely accident, & my own involvement in
other things, stopped any further 'excursions' in that
direction. The gift to me would be additionally
covered by the fact that in my mother's will (proved 1981),
one left all her 'personal chattels' to me.
