Oyntment good for payne in the back or
Stomach, to help digestion or payne in the heart
or any Cold or Cough or anoint the temples.

Take a quarte of the best salett Oyle or so much of -
the Oyle of roses, & putt it into a long gally-pott, to it
wilde time. read Mint. wormwood. hysopp. Balme of each -
two handfull, of read roses leaves ginger one ounce. half
an ounce of mace grossly beaten, chopp, the hearbs a little -
mingle the spices; have an ounce of bay berries; put all -
these together, putt them in to the oyle; putt all these into -
pott, close it up with paste, sett it in a stillet of water,
keep the water as high as the Oyle coms, lett it stand -
4 hours over the fire, then straine it out, then putt in it
3 Ounces of Orange flowers butter, half a quarter of an once
of Oyle of Cinament, as much of Oyle of Cloves, ten grains
of ambregris, 2 ounces of Yellow Wax thin sliced, Sett it
in chearcole fire a dissolving, putt in a quarter of an once
the Spirit of cinamon which was forgotten.
Wine against a Consumption.
Take 6 quartes of the best white wine, putt it in an Earthen
pitcher Stopp it close with a Corke & putt it into a Kettle of -
Water and lett it stand so long in the boyling water till the
wine boyles, then putt into it 2 ounces & half of succory
roots sliced, & lett it boyle halfe a quarter of an houre, then
take the pitcher out of the water, then putt into it the
rines of 2 lemons & 1 orange paring it very thin, with
half an ounce of Cinamon & 6 ounces of sugar.
After these thing are all putt in together, the Pitcher is to
be covered up close for 24 hours, after that you must -
shake it well together, then straine it through a flanel
Strainer & botle it up for use.

Dyett drink to clean Blood of Mr. Dobins.
Take 6 Oranges. 6 lemons. 2 lb of raisins Sun.
Juice of garden Scurvygrass. Bookline. Watercress of -
each a quarte. Elderbuds six good handfull, horse =
-radish half a pound. the lemons & Oranges must be
thin Sliced Rind & all. these are for twelve Gallons.
Remedy for the yellow Jandse
A pinte of White wine, half a pinte of Celendine
water, as much dragons water, three penny worth of Saffran
two of turmerick. Infuse all these together till half
of it be wasted & then drink it att 3 mornings.
A Medecine against the plage. Small pox. Mesels.
and divers diseases & surfeits composed by Dr. Butler.

Take 3 pints of Malmsey or Musiadine, and boyle one handfull
of hearbs of grace and one handfull of sage in it, until a third
part be wasted; then take that of the fire, straine it & putt
thereto one penneworth of long pepper; half an ounce of ginger,
a quarter of an ounce of nuttmeg being first well beaten,
then sett that on the fire again, and lett that boyle a little
longer; then take it of the fire again & putt therein 4 penny
- worth of mithridate 2 penny worth of teriacle of Gennes
a quarter of a pinte of strong angelico water or of the best
aquavita you can gett. Tye this as you love your life.
Take it alwayes warme both morning & evening a Spoonfull
or two if you are infected and sweatt a litle thereupon; If
you Be not infected then take half a spoonfull both morning
& Evening during the time of infection, Under God trust
to this for there was never Man, Woman or Child ever
to this yet that were deceived, if the heart were not -
mortifyed before this drink came. Probatum est.
