Take a old Red Cock, 2 ounce of China, 1 ounce of
Correander seeds, 2 drames of mace; boile all these in 6
Gallons of sweet Wortt till 2 gallons be wasted. then worke
itt up, with barme as you doe ale, and when you tun itt put
into the Barrel 2 ounce of cream of tarter in the lumpe,
and 2 ounce of melted steel tied up in a Canves bagg.
